The role

A Mechanical Design Engineer designs bespoke components for water authority equipment repair and collaborates with suppliers and shopfloor teams. The role involves measuring existing parts, producing designs using SolidWorks, and creating designs for laser cutting and folding. Responsibilities include liaising with suppliers, reviewing quotes, and supporting manufacturing processes. Candidates should have experience in mechanical component design, proficiency in SolidWorks, and good communication skills. AutoCAD experience and an HNC qualification are advantageous. The position is based in Manchester, with standard business hours and some design responsibilities.
