The role

An in-house Data Privacy Lawyer is sought to advise on data protection, cybersecurity, and e-privacy compliance within a global law firm. The role involves supporting the Data Protection Officer and legal team on UK and EU GDPR regulations, including international data transfers, vendor due diligence, and privacy impact assessments. The successful candidate will provide pragmatic legal advice on HR-related privacy issues, develop training programmes, and identify compliance gaps during policy reviews. They will support adherence to privacy laws such as CCPA and China PIPL across multiple jurisdictions and collaborate with global privacy teams and committees. The position offers flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to contribute to knowledge management and precedent development. Candidates must be qualified solicitors with 1-5 years of relevant experience, strong commercial awareness, and excellent team skills.
