The role
A Multimedia Reporter in Leeds will be responsible for sourcing and delivering breaking local news stories across multiple platforms, including radio, online, and social media. They will plan and produce engaging news bulletins and react swiftly to breaking news, reporting live from location when necessary. Building strong local contacts to uncover exclusive stories and ensuring all content complies with legal standards and Ofcom regulations are key duties. The role requires recognised journalism qualifications, professional experience, and strong audio and video editing skills. The role offers flexibility, with remote working possible from Leeds or Manchester, and involves working under pressure across platforms. Candidates should possess excellent journalistic skills and the ability to handle dynamic news environments.
