The role
The Telecom FTTH Estimator assesses costs for fibre optic splicing, installation, and construction projects across Toronto, supporting fibre deployment initiatives for major telecom providers. This role requires reviewing technical drawings, route maps, and tender documents to prepare accurate cost estimates and bid packages. The estimator collaborates with project managers, field crews, and subcontractors to align estimates with project scopes, materials, and labour needs. Candidates should possess 3-5 years of estimating experience in telecommunications infrastructure, with knowledge of fibre splicing, installation methods, and relevant codes. A diploma in electronics or a related field, along with a valid Canadian driver’s licence, is preferred, and travel to site locations is necessary.
