The role
A Substation Electrician is responsible for maintaining and inspecting electrical installations within high voltage substations, including wiring systems and circuits. The role involves installation, testing, and visual inspections of electrical infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates are expected to have completed an electrician apprenticeship or similar, with relevant City & Guilds or NVQ qualifications, and possess experience as an electrician. A valid driver’s licence is required to travel across sites in Manchester.
