The role
A Chief Compliance Officer in Toronto will oversee compliance with securities laws and regulations, develop and implement policies, and manage compliance risks. They will monitor regulatory adherence and prepare detailed reports for senior management and boards. The role requires leadership skills, a strategic approach to compliance, and deep understanding of CIRO regulations. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and lead training initiatives. They will manage a compliance team and collaborate with various departments to embed compliance into operational practices. A minimum of ten years' experience and prior CIRO registration are essential for this role.
