The role
The Principal Manufacturing Engineer develops and manages manufacturing methods, ensuring compliance with design and safety standards throughout the product lifecycle. They oversee multidisciplinary teams supporting production facilities, optimise manufacturing instructions, and define tooling and facility requirements. Candidates should have experience in process planning, NC programming, quality engineering, and industrial engineering, with skills in project management and stakeholder engagement. A good understanding of steel fabrication, welding, lean principles, and tolerance management is required. The role involves technical leadership, process improvement, and resource management in a manufacturing environment. Technical skills include software applications, manufacturing technologies, and quality systems.
