The role
A psychologist position is available in Oxford, focusing on delivering specialised psychological assessments and therapies to adults with severe and complex mental health challenges, particularly those discharged from hospital, experiencing homelessness or unstable housing. The role involves developing innovative, client-centred intervention strategies to reduce hospital readmissions, improve access to services, and prevent rough sleeping. Candidates will provide risk assessments, offer expert psychological advice to multidisciplinary teams, and lead service development initiatives within the homelessness pathway. The position includes supervision and development opportunities, working within an integrated health, housing, care, and third sector partnership. A clinical or counselling psychologist with HCPC registration and post-qualification experience in complex assessments is required, along with strong communication skills and trauma-informed practice knowledge.
