The role
An Environmental Engineer is responsible for ensuring environmental legislative compliance, developing environmental management plans, and supporting lifecycle governance in defence-related projects. The role involves creating environmental case reports, managing audits, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers to integrate environmental strategies into design and development processes. Candidates should possess a degree in a relevant technical field, with practical defence environmental management experience and UK MOD standards knowledge. The position requires UK national status, BPSS clearance, and eligibility for Security Clearance. The engineer will also support sustainability initiatives, maintain environmental systems, and assist health and safety teams to reduce environmental risks across project lifecycles.
