The role
Lead cost estimation for large-scale heavy highway and infrastructure projects, reviewing plans, specs, and proposals.
Analyze scope, materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor needs for bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and related structures.
Prepare detailed bid proposals with cost breakdowns, ensuring compliance with client and agency requirements.
Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to align estimates with design, schedule, and budget.
Solicit and negotiate subcontractor quotes, manage vendor relationships, and ensure competitive pricing.
Apply expertise in DOT specifications, sequencing, and heavy civil practices to support successful bids under tight deadlines.
