The role
A DevOps Engineer in Portsmouth manages and configures CI/CD pipelines, supports containerised applications, and automates deployment processes within secure environments. They collaborate with software and systems engineers, and defence stakeholders, to optimise operational productivity and troubleshoot technical issues. The role requires technical skills in Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible, Docker, and infrastructure automation, emphasising problem-solving capabilities and independent working. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience, is essential along with SC security clearance eligibility. The position involves developing automation solutions, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure effective deployment and integration of defence software solutions.
