The role
Drive initiatives to build strong, performant AI foundations for Unreal Engine 6 that scale across Fortnite workflows.
Analyze current Fortnite LLM-based NPC systems and devise a plan to unify them into cohesive NPC AI across platforms.
Tackle complex low-level optimization challenges to deliver high-performance AI systems with robust tooling.
Design and implement gameplay AI components in C++, including Behavior Trees, Finite State Machines, and Pathfinding.
Ensure high-quality developer experiences across supported platforms with accessible tooling and documentation for newcomers to Unreal Engine.
Requires shipping AAA titles or equivalent experience, strong communication, and a passion for empowering creators with flexible AI.
