A musician performs solo or with groups in front of audiences or in recording studios, demonstrating high technical skill and musicality. Musicians often participate in recording sessions, broadcasts, and soundtrack recordings for film or television. They audition for roles in orchestras, ensembles, or productions, collaborating with other artists, composers, and directors to create compelling music. Maintaining instruments and staying updated with new techniques and repertoire are essential parts of the role.
