The role

This role centers on persuasive writing to support removal defense and asylum cases in Immigration Court, Board of Appeals, and the Seventh Circuit.
Conduct thorough legal research on complex immigration issues and draft briefs, motions, and other court filings.
Draft client affidavits and collaborate with clients to capture essential facts and develop a strong theory of the case with empathy and cultural sensitivity.
Work with supervising attorneys and a litigation paralegal to prepare cases for hearings, including organizing evidence and crafting legal arguments.
Represent clients at hearings such as bond, master calendar, and merits hearings; occasional state court appearances related to immigration benefits.
This position emphasizes English/Spanish bilingual writing and storytelling, dedicated client service, and opportunities for professional growth.
