The role
Lead the backend search engine team spanning scalable systems and ML-based retrieval.
Own roadmaps for indexing, document ranking, and query understanding, including personalization and multimodal signals.
Drive the application of NLP and Vision models to improve query recommendations and multimodal search.
Collaborate with product, infrastructure, data science, and design to deliver impactful user experiences.
Mentor and grow managers and engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and technical depth.
Plan for scalability and efficiency, ensuring production-quality systems meet business goals and user needs.
