The role
The Scottish Prison Service is responsible for the secure custody of around 8,000 people across Scotland. Their vision is to help build a safer Scotland by unlocking potential and transforming lives. They aim to support staff, ensure fair rewards, and recognise contributions daily. The HR Policy & Reward Manager will work across the Organisational Development Directorate, collaborating with unions, staff networks, and senior leaders to ensure fair, transparent, and sustainable employment practices. Responsibilities include reviewing and developing HR policies, planning reward interventions, and advising on industrial relations. The role involves negotiating with trade unions, researching ER&R matters, resolving disputes, and managing change initiatives, requiring CIPD membership or an HR qualification.
