The role
Leeds Community Healthcare Trust is recruiting a Band 5 Physiotherapist for the Active Recovery service, part of the ABU Neighbourhood and Active Recovery Team. The role involves supporting adults after illness, injury, hospital admission, or health decline by conducting assessments, creating personalised rehabilitation plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to promote recovery, independence, and quality of life. The service provides short-term, goal-focused rehabilitation for trauma, orthopaedic, neurological, frailty, deconditioning, and long-term conditions using a strengths-based approach to reduce ongoing care needs. The physiotherapist will manage a varied caseload, perform holistic assessments, and deliver interventions like falls prevention and environmental assessments while collaborating with multidisciplinary colleagues. The role offers opportunities for clinical skill development, supervision of students, participation in service improvement, and professional growth within a flexible, city-wide 7-day service. Working hours are between 8am and 6pm with enhanced pay for weekends and unsocial hours, supporting a positive work-life balance.
