The role
A Mechanical Project Manager is responsible for managing mechanical building services and infrastructure projects, from initial scope and design through to site completion, ensuring safety and operational compliance. The role involves coordinating technical surveys, overseeing plant replacement projects, and managing budgets, risks, and programme timelines in complex operational environments. Candidates should have proven experience in delivering mechanical projects within heavy industrial, infrastructure, or utility sectors, complemented by strong stakeholder management skills. Technical expertise in heating, ventilation, cooling, pumps, and associated systems is essential, alongside knowledge of statutory requirements and decarbonisation initiatives. Effective communication and independence are crucial as the role requires liaising with contractors, consultants, and operational teams, often within safety-critical environments.
