The role
We are seeking a versatile Staff Software Engineer to design, implement, and lead large-scale search and data ingestion components using OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
Own end-to-end search performance, including index design, query DSL, aggregations, analyzers, and relevance tuning, with high-throughput real-time indexing.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions such as semantic search and ranking models.
Apply GenAI technologies and LLMs to deliver AI-powered features, leveraging Java, REST, Kafka, and container-based environments in a CI/CD setting.
Mentor junior engineers, drive architectural decisions, ensure secure coding practices, and maintain observability through monitoring and dashboards.
Hybrid role based in Bengaluru, India with in-office days to be determined by the hiring manager.
