The role
A part-time community cook is required at Didsbury Good Neighbours' café in Manchester to prepare and serve quality food, cater for events, and maintain hygiene standards. The role involves planning menus, working independently, and supporting the café team, with opportunities to provide barista services and assist with stock management. Candidates should have at least two years' experience in a similar environment and preferably hold a level 3 hygiene certificate. Flexibility with working hours on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, including occasional extra hours, is essential. The position offers the national real living wage and 28 days of annual leave pro-rata, with an emphasis on community engagement and food safety. Practical skills in food hygiene, customer service, and teamwork are fundamental to success in this role.
