The role
Apply mathematical frameworks to predict supply depth and market pricing, identifying commercial opportunities.
Model optimal battery asset usage with linear programming, accounting for opportunity costs and physical characteristics.
Develop models of the GB electricity system to provide a forward view of system constraints.
Analyze market dynamics across wholesale electricity, Balancing Services, and Balancing Mechanism to craft optimised asset strategies.
Implement progressively deeper optimisation considering real-time performance, utilisation and machine state parameters.
Demonstrate a first-principles approach using Python (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas) and SQL to manage large-scale time-series data.
