Project Manager – Local Government Transformation

The organisation is seeking a Project Manager to support delivery within a complex local government reorganisation programme based in Reading. The role involves managing multiple workstreams, ensuring project plans, milestones, and dependencies are effectively handled, and progressing from design to implementation. The candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders and programme managers to translate workshops into tangible outputs, with recent LGR experience within the last 6-9 months required. The role requires managing competing priorities across diverse teams, tracking dependencies across systems, finance, and procurement, and resolving risks and issues efficiently. Strong organisational skills and a delivery focus are essential, alongside excellent stakeholder engagement abilities. Experience in local government project delivery, particularly with LGR programmes, is a strict prerequisite.
