The role
Provide strategic legal guidance across the Americas (US, Canada, and Latin America, including Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Trinidad & Tobago). Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements (supplier, customer, logistics, warehousing, and distribution) while overseeing regional disputes with external counsel as needed. Lead governance and compliance initiatives, develop regional contracting templates and policies, and drive risk mitigation programs including privacy and anti-corruption. Support regulatory compliance for import/export controls, trade, product liability, and EHS; assist with corporate restructuring and strategic initiatives. Manage legal budgets, coordinate outside counsel, and maintain contract templates, records, and governance materials with transparent cost control. Build trusted advisory relationships with senior regional leaders, deliver practical business-focused advice, lead medium-value deals and investigations, and travel as needed.
