The role
The Industrial Engineer will optimize manufacturing processes in a heavy vehicle assembly environment to boost throughput, reduce costs, and ensure quality and safety.
Perform work measurement studies using MOST to determine labor requirements and conduct time and motion studies to remove bottlenecks.
Apply lean principles (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, VSM) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
Develop standardized work procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and design layouts using CAD and simulation tools.
Lead projects for cost reduction, process improvement, and new product introduction, while planning capacity and managing inventory.
Train plant personnel on new processes and equipment and monitor performance metrics to sustain gains.
