The role
An apprenticeship opportunity is available in Wolverhampton for individuals eager to develop carpentry and joinery skills. The role involves working with experienced tradespeople on refurbishment projects, focusing on fire door installation and fire stopping systems. The programme includes structured training, on-the-job experience, and personal development, leading to a Level 2 qualification and FIRAS Technician certification. Skills learned encompass safe tool use, product installation, compliance with fire safety regulations, and teamwork, supported by utilising specialised software. Candidates should display a strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude, with GCSEs in Maths and English preferred. The apprenticeship lasts two years, includes paid college block releases, and requires a DBS check; it is not suitable for those already holding a Level 2 qualification.
