The role
As a Staff Data Scientist in Listing Understanding, you will architect and prototype computer vision and multimodal models that interpret photos and listing data to enrich guest and host experiences.
Lead end-to-end efforts—from ideation and model development to evaluation, deployment, and safety assessments.
Build causal models to quantify how photos influence search, bookings, and trip quality, guiding product and business roadmaps.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and design to translate data insights into scalable features.
Develop and implement rigorous assessment frameworks, A/B tests, and causal analyses to measure value and ensure responsible AI.
Stay current with state-of-the-art CV and multimodal techniques (eg, CLIP, ViT) and coach teams on best practices for model training and serving.
