The role
The role of a Quality and Compliance Officer involves working with commissioned providers to uphold safe services within adult social care, following continuous improvement principles. Responsibilities include conducting onsite and virtual audits in accordance with quality and compliance frameworks to achieve optimal outcomes for users and value for the council. The position requires attending meetings such as safeguarding strategy meetings, analysing data, writing reports, and monitoring performance indicators. Building relationships with external partners like providers and regulators such as CQC, as well as internal teams, is essential for managing risks and developing the market to address challenges. The team supports over 300 adult social care providers in Sefton, holding significant responsibility and accountability in ensuring quality standards are met. This role requires strong organisational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, and familiarity with adult social care regulations and audit processes. Technical skills include report writing, data analysis, and risk management, with a focus on continuous improvement in social care services.
