The role
An apprenticeship as a carpenter and joiner in Leeds provides practical experience in site work, domestic, and commercial projects, including installation, repair, and maintenance activities. Apprentices will learn to interpret drawings, estimate materials, and comply with safety and environmental standards, gaining exposure to multiple trades and multi-skilled duties. The programme, lasting approximately 24 months, includes paid work hours, college attendance, and real-world experience working in various settings, including people's homes and community projects. It is designed for individuals aged 16 and above, with wages varying by age, and is delivered in partnership with Leeds College of Building. Participants will develop skills in health and safety, use of safety equipment, sustainability, and construction communication, enhancing versatility and employability in the construction industry.
