The role
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for public works and commercial construction projects.
Interpret plans, specifications, and bid documents to define scope and prepare accurate estimates.
Develop cost breakdowns, unit costs, and comprehensive bid packages across trades.
Solicit, evaluate, and manage subcontractor and supplier proposals; maintain cost databases.
Identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering options, and constructability issues; support prebid activities.
Support project buyout, budgeting after award, and maintain relationships with clients and design teams while managing multiple bids and deadlines.
