The role
Provide legal representation for state agencies and employees in complex civil litigation within the Risk Management framework.
Act as Lead Counsel/First Chair on matters, from investigation and discovery to trial and appellate proceedings.
Draft pleadings, motions, and court filings; perform legal research; manage discovery and case analysis for trial readiness.
Supervise support staff; mentor less experienced attorneys; offer strategic advice and co-counsel as needed.
Travel within and outside Arizona; participate in remote work arrangements where authorized.
Maintain high ethical standards, handle a high volume of high-exposure cases, and communicate analyses to clients.
