Cybersecurity Specialist

Implement and manage risk management processes using NIST 800-series, FIPS, and FISMA compliance frameworks to protect information systems.
Collaborate with IT teams to identify vulnerabilities, perform security control assessments, and develop risk mitigations.
Lead the preparation of Authorization Packages (AP) including Privacy Analysis, System Categorization, Risk Assessment Reports (RAR), System Security Plans (SSP), and A&A oversight to obtain or maintain an Authorization to Operate.
Act as the focal point for enterprise SSPs, supporting Information System Owners (ISOs) and Information System Security Officials (ISSO) with RMF responsibilities.
Develop and maintain Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) as part of continuous monitoring and cybersecurity improvements.
Stay informed on evolving threats and technologies to continuously enhance security posture while ensuring compliance across systems and engineering teams.
