Senior Auditor – Cannock

Two Senior Auditors are sought to join the Internal Audit team, responsible for delivering risk-based audits and providing assurance across local government services. They will plan and perform audits, prepare reports, and offer practical advice on controls and governance. The role involves supervising junior colleagues and adhering to professional standards while working under the guidance of the Deputy Chief Internal Auditor. Candidates should possess strong audit knowledge, risk management skills, and the ability to communicate findings effectively. A proactive, organised attitude with relevant qualifications and experience in risk-based audits is essential. Candidates must pass a mandatory security check including a basic DBS disclosure and identity verification.
