Mechanical Engineer – Edinburgh

Leonardo UK is recruiting mechanical engineers in Edinburgh to design and develop radar products, utilising advanced techniques including stress analysis, thermal management, and detailed mechanical design using 3D CAD software. Candidates will craft innovative solutions balancing quality, safety, and reliability, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting all stages of the product lifecycle. They should have experience in high-regulation environments with proficiency in FEA, GD&T, and configuration management systems, especially PTC Creo and Teamcenter. Senior applicants are expected to offer leadership in mechanical design activities and support project delivery, while those at principal level will demonstrate strong team management and strategic planning skills. Both roles require relevant professional registration or the ability to achieve Chartered Engineer status and security clearance eligibility, supporting critical defence projects.
