Mechanical Engineer

AECOM seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join its water team in Manchester, focusing on designing water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role involves developing mechanical designs such as pumping stations, screens, grit removal plants, and odour control systems, as well as analysing and selecting pumps and designing plant layouts. Candidates will participate in all project stages from feasibility to construction, ensuring adherence to design standards. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and effective communication with clients are essential for project success. The position also includes supporting bid processes and delivering technical reports, drawings, and calculations. Experience with water treatment schemes, professional registration, and a degree in engineering are preferred.
