Assistant Psychologist – Edinburgh

An Assistant Psychologist position is available in Edinburgh, working within community health services to support individuals with sickle cell disease and Thalassaemia. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and under supervision to develop psychological interventions and support pathways across various settings. The successful candidate will assist with screening psychosocial difficulties and delivering brief interventions based on third wave CBT approaches such as ACT and Compassion Focused Therapy. They will also have opportunities to co-facilitate therapeutic programmes, contribute to service development, and attend professional meetings and training. Strong communication, organisational skills, and an interest in haematology are desirable, alongside relevant experience and a relevant qualification. This position offers flexibility and aims to improve access and quality of care for underserved populations in East London.
