Senior AI/ML Engineer – Cambridge

A Senior AI/ML Engineer with expertise in computer vision and deep learning is sought for a high-tech organisation in Defence and Security sectors. The role involves designing and implementing neural networks, including CNNs and Vision Transformers, using Python and PyTorch. Candidates are expected to develop scalable pipelines for training, validation and inference, optimise models for deployment across cloud and edge environments, and contribute to software architecture following engineering best practices. They will collaborate with researchers, engineers and clients to deliver innovative AI solutions in demanding real-world applications. Essential skills include GPU optimisation, Docker, Kubernetes, MLOps, and experience with object detection, tracking and segmentation. A relevant MSc or PhD, or equivalent commercial experience, is required, along with active clearance such as SC or MoD DV.
