Specialty Doctor – Forensic Psychiatry

The Specialty Doctor in Forensic Psychiatry provides comprehensive psychiatric and physical healthcare to inpatient individuals, working under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist. The role involves regular review of patients' psychiatric care, updating medical records, and liaising with multi-disciplinary teams, including attendance at ward rounds and CPA reviews. The post-holder will deputise for the Consultant when required and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings. Candidates must have full registration with the General Medical Council and a minimum of two years’ experience in psychiatry, including hospital appointments. The role may consider part-time applicants and involves participating in a resident on-call rotation across 16 posts at the facility.
