The role

This Electrical Engineer role supports high-consequence nuclear facility operations and projects by applying electrical engineering to facility structures and power systems.
Level 1 focuses on developing foundational skills under senior engineers, assisting with design development, calculations, inspections, and facility modifications.
Level 2 expands independence with ownership of engineering analyses, design development, system performance evaluations, and support for infrastructure projects, including power system studies and arc flash assessments.
Responsibilities include coordination and protection analyses for low voltage systems (0-600V), equipment sizing, PLC-related controls, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Engineering (ABET-accredited) with 2 years (Level 1) or 3 years (Level 2) of practical experience; EIT or PE status is desirable; strong communication and documentation skills are essential.
This is an on-site, security-sensitive role in Los Alamos, NM, with potential 24/7 shift coverage; a background check and Q clearance are required.
