The role
A senior Python developer is required in Toronto for a long-term contract to design and develop backend applications and microservices, utilising Python and scripting skills on Unix/Linux systems. The role involves working with database technologies such as Oracle and PostgreSQL and integrating messaging solutions like MQ. Candidates should have experience with SDLC processes, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines, along with security concepts such as TLS and SSL. Collaboration with third-party vendors and cross-functional teams is essential, along with familiarity with tools like Confluence, ServiceNow, and SharePoint. Knowledge of cloud technologies and domain experience in SWIFT or sanctions regulations would be advantageous.
