The role
The Food Safety Auditor conducts technical audits for a UK retail and international client base, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and legislation. They work closely with senior site personnel to schedule and perform audits across various categories, generating detailed reports and identifying risks. The role requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of food legislation, technical developments, and industry procedures, as well as supporting standards reviews and customer engagement activities. Travelling within the UK, Ireland, and overseas, the auditor must possess a relevant degree or extensive industry experience, along with certifications such as Lead Auditor and HACCP. Excellent communication, organisation, and technical skills are essential for delivering high-quality audits and customer service in a self-contained, remote-based environment. The position offers a competitive salary and car allowance, with regular weekday hours.
