The role
A procurement specialist is responsible for managing day-to-day purchasing and sourcing activities within an electronics manufacturing environment in Reading. They source electronic components, negotiate with suppliers, and manage deliveries, shortages, and supply chain resilience. The role requires obtaining quotations, raising purchase orders, and supporting new product introductions and obsolete component sourcing. Candidates should have experience with electronic components, supply chain management, and supplier negotiations. Knowledge of PCB/PCBA, RF or microwave components, and supply chain risks is valuable, along with a proactive and ownership-driven approach in maintaining production flow.
