The role

A senior hedge fund accountant is responsible for maintaining hedge accounting records, assessing hedge effectiveness, and recording accounting entries for derivatives. They prepare reconciliations and analysis related to derivatives and treasury balances for management and external reporting. The role involves evaluating the financial impact of hedging programmes and researching technical accounting matters involving derivatives and financial instruments. They support securitisation and structured finance accounting by preparing reports and reconciliations, and contribute to month-end and quarter-end reporting. The position also aims to improve reporting efficiency through process documentation, audit support, and automation initiatives.
