The role
A Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in AWS is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud environments that support critical business services. They work closely with internal teams to ensure cloud solutions are secure, resilient, and cost-efficient, while continuously improving infrastructure performance. The role involves developing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, supporting migration projects, and maintaining security controls. Troubleshooting and monitoring cloud services are key responsibilities, along with creating technical documentation and collaborating across teams. A strong understanding of AWS services and automation skills are essential, with additional competencies in security, compliance, and cost optimisation preferred. The position requires a proactive individual capable of evaluating new AWS technologies and providing innovative solutions.
