The role
A position as a geo-environmental engineer involves overseeing ground investigation programmes, including planning, management, and reporting of Phase I and Phase II investigations. The role requires conducting site assessments, soil logging, and environmental monitoring, with on-site technical work and report production. Candidates should have a degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field, along with 1–5 years' experience and progressing towards chartered status. Skills in ground investigation practices, contaminated land assessment, and familiarity with UK planning legislation are essential.
