The role
A procurement specialist manages purchasing strategies, orders materials and components, and collaborates with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries to production sites. They are responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, raising purchase orders, validating invoices, and providing market feedback for cost improvements. The role involves maintaining supplier databases, monitoring order statuses, and resolving delivery or invoice issues, alongside analysing procurement trends and collaborating with internal departments. Proven experience in procurement processes, SKU management, and supplier relationships are essential. The position requires a full driving licence, willingness to travel, and ideally a CIPS qualification, all within a manufacturing environment.
