The role
Seeking a certified Court Interpreter to provide accurate verbal interpretations in English and a non-English language during court proceedings and related duties.
Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation in court, as well as sight translation of petitions, reports, waivers, and other legal documents.
Interpret for judges, attorneys, court staff, litigants, jurors, witnesses, and others, under the direction of an assigned supervisor.
Develop and maintain knowledge of court functions, legal terminology, and interpreter ethics; report any barriers to performance.
Receive daily calendar assignments, accurately complete activity logs, and manage required documentation.
Work on-site in office and courtroom environments; travel within the county as needed; high-quality work under deadlines.
