The role
The physiotherapist assesses and develops physical therapy programmes to enhance mobility and reduce pain for patients. They work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and supervise allied health professionals such as rehab assistants. The role involves conducting medical history interviews, evaluating physical abilities, and implementing therapeutic procedures using exercise and equipment. Regularly re-evaluating patients and adjusting treatment plans are key responsibilities, along with educating patients and ensuring safety and confidentiality. Candidates should have a degree in physiotherapy, a valid UK licence, and current CPR certification, with skills in assessment, care planning, and communication. Physical capabilities include lifting up to 50 pounds and using various medical tools and equipment in a dynamic environment.
