The role
A fintech startup in Bristol is seeking a junior Python developer to assist in building a next-generation FX trading and settlement platform. The role involves developing, optimising, and deploying platform components using Python, SQL, and REST APIs. The candidate will gain exposure to Azure, Salesforce, and event-driven architectures like Kafka, with opportunities for extensive training and mentorship. Responsibilities include working across the full stack, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with multiple teams on critical features. The ideal applicant will have 1-2 years' experience in Python and SQL, understanding APIs and data modelling, and demonstrate curiosity and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Kafka, Azure, Salesforce, Docker, or Azure DevOps is a plus, with a portfolio link welcomed.
