The role
A housekeeper at Allerton Park is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the care home, including residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, communal lounges, and corridors. They are expected to perform daily, weekly, and deep cleaning tasks in line with established schedules, adhering to health and safety and infection control procedures. The role also involves handling laundry duties, such as washing, drying, ironing, and folding clothes and linens, and disposing of waste safely. Housekeepers must respect residents' privacy, dignity, and personal belongings at all times, following safeguarding policies and reporting any concerns. Technical skills include knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and laundry processes, with a focus on safety and hygiene standards.
