The role
Provide strategic legal guidance to management on consumer and commercial lending matters, including product development, underwriting, contracts, and collections.
Support and enhance the Compliance Management System (CMS) by conducting process reviews and implementing compliant practices across operations.
Evaluate risk, anticipate issues, and propose proactive, ethical solutions to protect the company and its customers.
Review and negotiate contracts such as master service agreements, statements of work, vendor agreements, and NDAs.
Conduct legal research, monitor regulatory changes, and oversee outside counsel on litigation and disputes.
Foster trusted cross-functional relationships and coordinate with stakeholders while maintaining compliance with applicable laws.
